The mission of the Franklin County Branch of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Committee is to Keep the Dream Alive, One Generation to Another.
The committee supports high school graduating seniors of Franklin County who are bright, talented, economically disadvantaged, and who exhibit the principles of Dr. King through scholarship, character, and service to the Franklin County community.
Depending on funds raised, the goal for the 2025–2026 year is to award three or more scholarships in the amount of $1,200 each.
All funds raised remain in Franklin County to support scholarships awarded by the committee.
